Description
In 1882-83, R.G. Bhandarkar conducted a search for Sanskrit manuscripts in the Bombay Presidency, focusing on preserving and cataloging ancient texts. His efforts were instrumental in identifying and collecting valuable manuscripts, many of which had been neglected or lost. Bhandarkar’s work contributed to the development of the study of classical Indian literature and history.
