This book is based upon a series of lectures delivered for the Government of Bombay. The last two chapters discuss the proposals for preferential tariffs with India. This book explores various subjects, some of which are further explored in greater detail in another publication called “Studies in Indian Economics,” set to be released simultaneously by the Government of Bombay.
