Description
In the book “Christianity in India: An Historical Narrativeā, this approach is the most accurate way to portray the progress of Christianity in India, as it was largely due to the efforts of individual minds and their thoughts that the religion began to take root in the region. However, once the initial obstacles were overcome and the foundation was laid, the role of individual character and exertion became relatively less important. While there may have been notable individuals like Xavier, Ziegenbalg, Carey, and Martyn in later periods, their contributions were overshadowed by the overall progress of the religion. Therefore, as the history of Christianity in India unfolds, it naturally moves towards a more general and diffuse perspective, with a focus on the results rather than individual landmarks.
