Christianity and Islam the Bible and the Koran: Four Lectures

The book is contained series of lectures on Christianity and Islam, which were originally given at the Cathedral Church of Chichester during Advent. The lectures were prepared for publication with some alterations and additions, and were intended to contribute to a better understanding of the two religions. The author believes that it is especially important to understand the religious differences between Christians and Muslims given the current Eastern question, which has roots in these differences. The author seeks to dispel false and calumnious estimates of Islam and to do justice to the great prophet of Arabia, while also pointing out the real and vital distinctions between the two religions. While there should be peace and goodwill between the believers of different creeds, this should not be placed on a rotten foundation of imaginary resemblances and blind spots to real distinctions.
