It has 18 chapters that describe its History, Geography, Natural History and also has observations on the Manners and Customs oft the inhabitants. Further more it has notices on various cities that the author visited and also the vegetables and staple spices. Towards the end of the work there is a journal of an embassy to the court of Kandy in 1800.
