Description
The present study focuses on these two issues with reference to the mountain ecosystem i.e. Uttarakhand, which is very complex heterogeneous and fragile. The study critically describes and explains the dynamics of landuse, cropping pattern, crop diversification, and crop-combination. It devotes a full chapter on diversification of agricultural activities including dairy farming, horticulture, vegetable farming, pisciculture, apiculture, piggries, poultry farming and floriculture.
