Description
This study is an attempt to break the myth that learning the English language is a theory subject in which a child needs to learn some literature question answers and some grammar rules and apply them into boring sentences. In reality, learning the English language is a skill that can be acquired by doing or practising its different skills in an integrated manner through various relatable contexts. This is the challenge for english language teachers to facilitate the learning exposure to children by integrating their local culture using varied available authentic resources, especially for the students studying through distance education where the self-instructional learning material is the only resource. Therefore, it requires different approaches and methods like Communicative Language Teaching and theme-based syllabus. This book displays many ideas and activities for the same using CLT approach and implies and proves with the experimental research that to learn a language, the child has to live with it.
