STATE, MARKET AND CIVIL SOCIETY: Issues and Interface

The all-pervasive and sweeping influence of market on almost every aspect of human living, coupled with the blurring of the state boundaries in the wake of globalization, has given an altogether different shape and flavour to the contemporary society. This book focuses upon the emerging social realities in this light, especially those relating to civil society, with changed gender equations, modified familial ties etc., haunted by the cancer of corruption, a major deterrent in the way of civil society.
