Dr. Santi Nath Chattopadhyay, LLB, PRS (Mouat Gold Medalist), Ph.D, D.Litt, is a well known writer, researcher, orator, peace thinker, and activist, with a brilliant academic career, a long and continuous research works under the University of Calcutta. Being a reputed educationist and teacher of philosophy and culture, he has served several educational institutions under Calcutta & Burdwan Universities, West Bengal, India, & finally, he was selected as reader of philosophy in 1986 and as Head of the Department of Philosophy in 1990 at Bangabasi College (Calcutta University), an Institution of National Importance, Kolkata, India and retired from the same institution on August 2003.
