Emerging Trends in Air and Space Laws

Aviation law is the branch of law that concerns flight, air travel and associated legal and business concerns. Some of its area of concern overlaps that of admiralty law and, in many cases, aviation law is considered a matter of international law due to the nature of air travel. Space law can be described as the body of law governing space-related activities. Space law, muck like general international law, comprises a variety of international agreements, treaties, conventions, and United Nations General Assembly resolutions as well as rules and regulations of international organizations. Space law, which governs matters in outer space beyond the Earth’s atmosphere, is a rather new area of law but one that already has its own journals and academic support, expectedly, much of space law is connected to aviation law. The specialists and the academics have combined to provide a concrete vision in this book for a comprehensive legislative and policy framework in India and the world at large.
