China's Nuclear Doctrine and Nuclear Disarmament

China’s nuclear doctrine has been affiliated with an has served national development strategy, national security strategy, national defence policy and military strategy of China. China’s nuclear doctrines has very strong  continuity. On the other hand, China has made readjustments in its nuclear doctrine according to the changes of its internal and external situation and its general strategic threat perception. China’s nuclear policy has proven to be effective and smart, providing savings that can be used on economic development. As its conventional capabilities grow, Beijing should have more confidence to pursue firmly and unshakably its nuclear policy rather than follow the road of U.S. and Russia’s nuclear development. It is unthinkable that China would change its policy to pursue extremely expensive weapons parity with the superpowers.
