This book is the outcome of the study on “A Critique of the Western missionaries approach and its subsequent effect on the Tribal Cultures of the North East India”. It is a comprehensive historical narration of the various missions of the western Christianity who came to the region and also critically examined the attitude and though process in coming to evangelised people of North east India.
The book also traces the history of the various church denominations in North East India and highlights the paradigm shifts in the history of Christian mission. And also formulate a mutual co?existence and relevant understanding by using various sociological theories as well as some of the missiological theories for cultural response to westernization.
